Fort population caps is EPIC FAIL

The newest nerf to the amount of characters allowed in a fort area in Warhammer is removing game content for so many players. Yesterday was a prime example of frustrations for my guild, and so many more players.

We pushed zones, and actually had to wait the two hour domination for Chaos Wastes to flip to the fort. Many of the higher geared, and skilled players were still defending battle objectives, warcamps, and keeps to prevent a ninja cap. We were the ones that were making it possible in the first place, but instead we lose the opportunity to get loot.

In the meantime other players hearing about the possible flip to the fort just went straight there. Once the zone did flip almost all the biggest guilds were left out on attacking the fort because supply lines were already full before we could even get there. The fort attack became a huge fail. I know at least 2-3 warbands were standing on the zone line waiting to replenish the fallen.

The problem is you never know when a spot is open. You can listen on vent, and the regional channel and take a chance, but there is no real way to know if you are going to be ported back to the warcamp. Once you get ported back than you have to try to make it past all the destruction trying to prevent you from getting back to the fort. Why not implement a queuing system once the limits are reached that auto ports you back so you don’t spend your whole day trying to get in, and it gives everyone a fair chance to get in.

I spent the whole time running back trying to get into the fort. We eventually failed at the fort because once people started dying it was too hard to get people back into the fort in force, and not just trickles. It just made for a huge day of frustration as we ended up failing at 2 forts yesterday, and before the cap nerf we were taking 2-3 forts a day with no problems.

Another frustration was inside the fort the champion mobs still spawn at the same rate, and alot of people were dying to pve, and not even fighting players. If they want to nerf the population cap than everything else needs to be nerfed like the lords health, door health, mob health, and etc.

There are several options they could try which would work better:

- Make the fort an instanced area separate from the zone, with PQ’s and such like a city instance.

- Supply line queuing

- Contribution controls who can enter the fort area

- Make the Fort a instanced type PvE dungeon with a timer.
