Do you know what is the Ratonga In Everquest 2? What is this do? It is a sneaky half-rat humanoid, covered in matted brown fur and featuring large front teeth. They are an evil race, favoring the trades of thievery and assassination above all else. They’re also surprisingly intelligent and wise, although they lack physical strength. They were concealed from most of the other races of Norrath for years until the Age of War. They have faded in and out of history – an interesting attribute for an entire race of creatures. As of now, they have elected to walk among the other races freely, travelling about the world and beyond on adventures. Their high agility makes them well suited to most scout pursuits. Most Ratonga worship a strange god named Caertex of which very little is known.
Ratonga have three racial abilities: Rob, a pickpocket ability on a 5 minute cooldown, Shadow Lurker, a +15% to movement buff while stealthed or invisible, and Sonic Vision, which lets them see in the dark. Their balance of abilities makes them best suited to either scouts or mages, but their solid wisdom also allows them to put in good work as a priest. So long as they get enough equipment to raise their strength, they can put out plenty of damage in melee. They also have a rather unique look, making them appealing to players looking to stand out.
Racial Traditions
Poisonous Bite: Poison direct damage with damage over time component. 10 second duration, 30 second cooldown.
Dark Agenda: +3% to maximum power.
Soul Mending: Out of combat health regeneration and agility buff. 3 minute duration, 10 minute cooldown.
Poison Expertise: 25% more frequent poison proc.
Instruments of the Underfoot: +5 to metal shaping.
Pitiful Plea: Threat reduction. 5 minute cooldown.
Poison Play: -10% to power cost on alchemy skills.
Rodent Reflexes: +5 to agility.
Street Thug: +2% to melee crit, +5 to piercing or +2% to spell crit and +5 to disruption
Antidote: Additional poison mitigation.
Most of the Ratonga’s Racial Traditions are geared towards enhancing their scout abilities, which is what most Ratonga players choose to follow. Their threat reduction and poison expertise are particularly useful for classes like the assassin, as is their Street Thug ability. They’re capable of pushing their agility very far relatively quickly, which allows them to start working on other stats with their equipment relatively early on.
